Woodstock MCP lets you trade US stocks via AI chat with no coding

Woodstock K.K., the company behind the Woodstock investing app for US stocks, has launched Woodstock MCP, a service that lets users connect any AI assistant to their brokerage account using the Model Context Protocol (MCP)—without writing a single line of code. MCP, introduced in late 2024, is a technical standard that allows AI assistants to access external tools and data. Previously, linking an AI to a brokerage for analysis or trading required building custom APIs and programming, creating a barrier for non-technical investors. Woodstock MCP eliminates that barrier entirely. Users simply open a Woodstock account, authenticate from their AI assistant, and then interact in everyday language to gather market data, summarize financial statements, compute limit orders, analyze portfolio risk, and even place split orders.

Woodstock MCP consolidates the entire investing workflow—information gathering, analysis, decision-making, and order execution—into a single conversational interface. Supported functions include retrieving real-time share prices, P/E ratios, market capitalization, historical price movements, and multi-framework analysis (market, technical, fundamental). It can calculate resistance/support lines, propose portfolio rebalancing, and execute buy or sell orders in natural language. The service is available on desktop, mobile, and tablet. Woodstock also plans to release a library of AI prompts to help users with research, trading, and rebalancing. The company is registered with Japan's financial authorities and ensures users understand risks before trading. Woodstock MCP represents a significant step toward democratizing automated, AI-assisted investing for everyday retail investors.
