Volante's Vol360i Agentic AI boosts payment STP rates above 95%

Volante Technologies, a global leader in Payments as a Service (PaaS), has announced that its payments platform is now powered by “Vol360i” Agentic AI. This core upgrade embeds four specialized AI agents directly into live payment workflows: Prevent Agents eliminate failures before they occur; Repair Agents fix issues in real time; Predict Agents determine optimal outcomes per transaction; and Sense Agents monitor risks and congestion. The system aims to push straight-through processing (STP) rates beyond 95%, significantly reducing manual intervention and accelerating exception resolution. At the core of Vol360i is a confidence-based operating model that allows banks to start with assisted decision-making and progressively expand autonomy as performance data validates outcomes. The agents interact with historical transaction data, logs, and prior resolutions to bring contextual reasoning into live workflows. Operator-controlled approvals and overrides feed back into the model, continuously refining confidence scores. Volante clients, including some of the world's most systemically important financial institutions, already achieve STP rates of 85–95% with intelligent enrichment and routing. The Vol360i upgrade is designed to push rates even higher while reducing exception-handling costs, improving efficiency, and helping banks meet the growing expectation of 24-hour payment settlements.
