Moonshot AI has launched Kimi Code CLI, a terminal-based AI coding agent that brings powerful AI assistance directly to developers' command lines. The agent can read and edit code, execute shell commands, search files, and even fetch web pages, autonomously deciding next steps based on feedback. It boasts a single-binary distribution that installs with a single curl command on macOS/Linux or PowerShell on Windows—no Node.js or PATH configuration required. Startup is measured in milliseconds, making it feel lightweight and responsive.
