Implementing Grassroots Logic Programs with Multiagent Transition Systems and AI
Researchers use AI to create a new way for smartphones to communicate directly without the internet.
Researchers have developed a new concurrent logic programming language designed for grassroots, peer-to-peer smartphone networks. The language, called Grassroots Logic Programs (GLP), uses a system of paired reader and writer variables to manage communication. An AI system is now using a formal mathematical specification to automatically generate working implementations of GLP, first for workstations and now for smartphone-based multiagent systems that can operate independently and merge.
Why It Matters
This could enable resilient, decentralized apps that work without central servers or a constant internet connection.
