Google Pics AI image generator launches to trusted testers, Gemini Omni Flash rolls out

Google has unveiled "Pics," its latest AI image generation tool, now available to a limited group of trusted testers. The tool will expand to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, as well as Workspace business customers, in a preview this summer. Pics focuses on high-fidelity image creation from text prompts, leveraging Google's advanced multimodal models.

Simultaneously, Google has rolled out Gemini Omni Flash to all Google AI subscribers globally through its Flow platform. This update allows users to seamlessly blend real-world visual inspiration with AI-generated content in a conversational interface. Key improvements include significantly better character consistency across both video and image generation, addressing a common pain point in generative AI. Together, these releases strengthen Google's position in the competitive AI image and video generation space, offering professionals more control and coherence in creative workflows.
