Fortinet’s FortiSOC Unifies 6 Security Ops – But Its Agentic AI Is the Real Game Changer

Fortinet has announced FortiSOC, a new unified, cloud-delivered security operations center (SOC) platform that combines six core security functions into a single SaaS experience. These include SIEM (security information and event management), SOAR (security orchestration, automation, and response), network detection and response (NDR), endpoint detection and response (EDR), log management, and user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA). The platform leverages agentic AI to autonomously investigate and correlate alerts across assets and identities, then recommend or execute response actions — all under human analyst oversight.

FortiSOC is designed to address the growing complexity and volume of security alerts that overwhelm many SOC teams. By embedding AI agents that can perform rapid triage, root-cause analysis, and even execute automated playbooks, Fortinet aims to reduce mean time to respond (MTTR) and free up senior analysts for higher-level threats. The platform supports multi-vendor environments, integrates with over 400 third-party tools, and offers a unified dashboard for end-to-end visibility. FortiSOC is available now as a subscription service.
