AutoGPT Now Gives You 'Experts' and a Voice to Boss Around

AutoGPT Platform v0.8.0 is out, and self-hosted installs get a breaking change: the ENCRYPTION_KEY, UNSUBSCRIBE_SECRET_KEY and BETTER_AUTH_SECRET no longer ship with values in .env.default, so an install that ran on the defaults must follow the documented steps — otherwise it risks losing its connected integrations. The release also drops the legacy HS256 JWT verification path and the unused TrialNotificationDelivery table. New features include AutoPilot Voice Mode, a Linux and macOS appliance installer, dedicated shareable expert pages, routines for experts, standing work, and support for new models including GPT-6 Astra, Opus 5, Claude Fable 5.1 and Google Gemini 3.8 Flash.
