“Finally, an AI that understands "Hark!" and "Pray tell!"”
What happened: Researchers created an AI named TimeCapsuleLLM by training it on a huge collection of English texts from the 1800s. This AI can now understand and generate language that sounds like it's from the Victorian era, particularly about London. While still in development and not always perfectly accurate, it offers a new way to explore historical documents.
This Neural Toon is based on the story “TimeCapsuleLLM: 160GB dataset of 1800s texts trains Victorian-era AI”.
