Robots Get Smarter in Clutter! No More Broken Dishes? – Neural Toons comic

“Finally, a robot that knows the difference between a plate and a pet!”

The story behind the toon

What happened: Stanford researchers developed APIVOT, a new planning system for robots. It helps robots navigate cluttered spaces, like kitchens, by adaptively switching between understanding instructions (language) and seeing physical objects (vision). This allows robots to plan tasks more successfully and efficiently than before, especially when things are messy.

This Neural Toon is based on the story “Stanford's APIVOT adaptively blends vision and language for robot planning”.
