“AI's quantum leap is a baby step, but a step nonetheless!”
What happened: AI is good at normal code, but quantum hardware code is a whole new level of difficulty. A new dataset (QASM-Eval) with 4,000 training tasks was used to train LLMs on OpenQASM-3. AI assistants can now reliably program NISQ-era quantum computers. It's for NISQ-era quantum, which is limited, and the code is still complex.
