TrueForge: Open-Source AI That's 75% Cheaper Without Sacrificing Results

The takeaway: comparable results at a fraction of the cost. But TrueForge is still early — it lacks first-class tracing/eval tooling, doesn’t ship its own code-execution sandbox, and has intentionally lossy context compaction, so it’s not a feature-for-feature replacement for mature managed platforms yet. Still, the open, model-neutral runtime is competitive and deployable on your own infrastructure.
