Ideogram4 JSON prompt tool update adds PNG import and 4096px images
Drag any ComfyUI-generated PNG to load its JSON prompt instantly.
The Ideogram4 JSON prompt editor, originally built as a lightweight browser tool by developer DsDman, just received a significant update that streamlines the workflow for advanced AI image generation. The biggest addition is PNG metadata import: users can now drag any image generated in ComfyUI (or other tools that embed Ideogram-compatible JSON) directly into the editor, and the tool will automatically extract bounding boxes and all prompting parameters. This eliminates manual re-entry when iterating on scenes or characters across multiple generations.
Two other major updates bring the tool in line with Ideogram's official prompting guide. First, a mode switch lets users toggle between photographic and non-photographic (art_style) JSON prompt structures, each with different default parameters. Second, the image size slider now supports dimensions up to 4096px, reflecting Ideogram 4's ability to generate surprisingly high-quality large images. The tool remains free and open-source, accessible via browser or local clone from GitHub.
- Drag-and-drop PNG import reads embedded JSON prompts from any ComfyUI-generated image, enabling rapid iteration without manual reconfiguration.
- New photo/art_style mode switch matches Ideogram v4's official prompting guide, automatically setting correct JSON structure for realistic vs. stylized outputs.
- Image size slider expanded to 4096px, capitalizing on Ideogram 4's strong performance with high-resolution generations.
Why It Matters
Saves AI artists hours of manual prompt re-entry when iterating on ComfyUI-generated Ideogram images.
