iOS 27 renders show redesigned Siri with Dynamic Island chat bubble and standalone app

Bloomberg has published renders of Apple's upcoming iOS 27, offering the first detailed look at the long-rumored Siri redesign. The most striking change is a pill-shaped chat bubble that emerges from the Dynamic Island, replacing the current Siri overlay. Users can swipe down from the center of the top edge to launch this new Siri chat anywhere in the system, similar to how Android's Gemini works. A drop-down menu lets users choose between three options: Ask (Apple's native AI), Siri (traditional assistant), and ChatGPT (third-party integration).

Beyond the Dynamic Island, iOS 27 will include a standalone Siri app that looks like a hybrid of ChatGPT and Apple's Liquid Glass aesthetic. The app features a pill-shaped query box, buttons for attachments and voice mode, and a chat history viewable as a list or rectangular blocks (like Google Keep). Bloomberg also shows an updated Camera app with a new 'Siri' mode between Photo and Portrait, and a Photos app with three new AI editing tools beyond the current Clean Up feature. Apple is expected to announce the final design at WWDC on June 8, 2026.
