Researchers launch migration factsheets dataset for 35 countries
Dataset covers 13 years of migration policy data across 35 countries in structured format
Researchers David Alonso del Barrio and Daniel Gatica-Perez have released a structured dataset compiling 13 years (2012-2024) of migration policy data from the European Migration Network's (EMN) country factsheets across 35 member states and observer countries.
The dataset converts previously unstructured annual reports into a tabular format with columns for country, year, section, subsection, content, and harmonized titles. This transformation enables researchers to analyze migration policy trends systematically while addressing the challenge of online misinformation about migration topics. The dataset is accessible via DOI and includes proposed applications for data science and media research.
- Dataset covers 13 years (2012-2024) of migration policy reports from 35 countries processed from EMN factsheets
- Structured into 6 columns (country, year, section, subsection, content, harmonized title) for easy analysis
- Released with DOI (10.48550/arXiv.2608.15702) to support reproducible migration research
