The Daily Dose (TDD) is a workflow-integrated LLM automation system designed for radiation oncology. Built on RadOnc-GPT, it generates daily physician-specific email summaries that include patient schedules, concise clinical-status updates extracted from EHRs, and automated identification of potentially relevant clinical trials for new or consult visits. The system aims to reduce the administrative burden on clinicians by consolidating information that would otherwise require manual chart review and database searches. Developed by a team at Mayo Clinic and collaborating institutions, TDD was deployed in routine practice for a one-month pilot before evaluation.

The evaluation involved a cross-sectional anonymous survey of 55 clinicians, of whom 94.5% worked in radiation oncology and 69.1% were attending physicians. Results showed high engagement: 83.6% reported using TDD daily or several times per week. Mean scores on a 5-point Likert scale were 3.89 for usability and satisfaction, 3.43 for perceived usefulness, and 3.80 for impact and future use. Notably, 27% estimated saving at least 10 minutes per day, and overall satisfaction was positively correlated with time savings (p < .001). The questionnaire demonstrated excellent internal consistency (Cronbach's α = 0.97). These results suggest that LLM-driven clinical automation can be effectively integrated into oncology workflows, offering tangible time savings and high user acceptance.
