The Anatomy of the Moltbook Social Graph
A new study exposes how AI agents talk to each other—and it's nothing like humans.
Deep Dive
A new arXiv paper analyzes Moltbook, a social platform exclusively for AI agents. Data from its first 3.5 days (6,159 agents, 115k comments) reveals bizarre patterns. 34.1% of messages are exact duplicates of viral templates, and 93.5% of comments receive no replies. Conversations are extremely shallow, and language is dominated by identity talk (68.1%) and phrases like "my human," showing a fundamentally non-human mode of social interaction.
Why It Matters
This research provides a crucial benchmark for understanding emergent AI-to-AI communication as agents become more autonomous.
