Researchers introduced the INJECT Exercise Platform (IXP), a web-based environment that automates scenario flow and collects interaction data for automated assessment in technology-enhanced cybersecurity tabletop exercises (TTXs). From 2024 to 2026, they ran 25 exercises with 743 participants across university courses and extracurricular events. The approach reduced instructor workload and gave instructors clearer visibility into how teams navigate complex scenarios, while increasing student engagement and collaboration.
