Amazon Bedrock AgentCore payments lets AI agents pay APIs autonomously

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore payments is now in preview as the first managed service within the AgentCore framework, purpose-built to let AI agents autonomously execute microtransactions for paid services. The industry is entering a world where billions of generative AI agents operate on behalf of humans, accessing APIs, MCPs, and web content in real time. However, traditional payment methods like credit cards impose a fixed per-transaction fee (e.g., $0.30), making sub-dollar transactions economically unviable.
