TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 applications close May 27
Last week to apply for $100k equity-free funding and VC access at Disrupt 2026.
TechCrunch is reminding founders that applications for its Startup Battlefield 200 close on May 27. The program selects 200 early-stage, pre-Series A startups to showcase at Disrupt 2026 (October 13-15) in front of 10,000+ attendees, top VCs, and global media. Each selected company receives a fully funded exhibition booth, free team passes, dedicated pitch training, founder masterclasses with world-class VCs, a featured startup profile in the event app, press list access, and lead-generation opportunities. Every startup pitches on either the Disrupt Stage or the Pitch Showcase Stage, and the top 20 finalists compete live for the grand prize of $100,000 in equity-free funding.
The program boasts an impressive track record: over 1,700 alumni have collectively raised more than $32 billion and generated over 250 exits, including acquisitions by Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Uber, and Amazon. Notable past participants include Dropbox, Cloudflare, Discord, Fitbit, Trello, and Mint. TechCrunch emphasizes that startups don't need to be polished or revenue-generating — a functional MVP and clear product demo are sufficient. Pre-launch companies are welcome. The application window closes in one week, and last-minute submissions risk being overlooked as volume surges. Founders can also nominate other startups to apply.
