A more elaborate neural network did no better. Crucially, the researchers tested on people the model had never seen before — the harder, more honest test, since it proves the system adapts to a new wearer rather than memorizing individuals.

The catch is the gap between a lab and a life. Fifteen healthy adults is a small, young-leaning sample; no actual seniors, no actual falls, and no months-long trial in real homes.
