Seeking Technical Co-Founder for QERRA-v2 – Ethical Decision Layer for Robots & AI
Live API, quantum proof-of-concept, and ROS2 stub need a technical lead.
Marussa Metocharaki, the solo founder behind QERRA-v2, is actively seeking a technical co-founder to advance an open-source project that aims to provide a real-time ethical decision layer for autonomous robots and humanoid systems. The project is currently at an early experimental stage but already has a live public API (v1.3) featuring a classical safety pipeline that includes toxicity detection and SEMEV-12 ethical scoring. Additionally, a separate quantum proof-of-concept has been successfully tested on IBM hardware, though it has not yet been integrated into the main system. ROS2 integration exists only as a basic stub, leaving significant engineering work ahead.
The ideal candidate should possess strong software engineering skills, with experience in real-time systems or complex decision-making architectures highly valued. Familiarity with ROS 2, Behavior Trees, or AI safety is a significant advantage but not mandatory. Metocharaki emphasizes the importance of mindset: the co-founder should be mature, resilient, an excellent communicator, and a long-term thinker comfortable with bootstrapped early-stage work. The role is 100% remote, equity-only with a fair split to be discussed, and will start as a serious side project with clear milestones over a 4–6 month trial period. The full search brief and GitHub repository are available for interested candidates.
- Live public API (v1.3) with toxicity detection and SEMEV-12 ethical scoring already operational
- Separate quantum proof-of-concept successfully tested on IBM hardware, pending integration
- ROS2 integration is at a basic stub stage, requiring significant engineering development
Why It Matters
Building ethical guardrails for autonomous systems is critical as robots and AI become more integrated into daily life.
