ROSCon Belgium 2026

The Open Source Robotics Foundation (OSRF) and the Belgian company Botronics have announced the inaugural ROSCon Belgium 2026, marking the first dedicated national conference for the Robot Operating System (ROS) community in Belgium. Scheduled for November 25-26, 2026, in Nivelles, the event strategically follows the global ROSCon in Toronto by about a month, allowing the international community time to 'recover' and potentially attend both. The conference language will be English, a practical choice for a country with three official languages and a population of 12 million. This announcement signifies the continued growth and regionalization of the open-source robotics ecosystem, building on local user group momentum.

Organizers are currently in the planning phase, actively seeking sponsors to support the event. A dedicated website with specific details on the venue, program schedule, and registration process is promised to launch soon. The call to action for the robotics community is to 'save the date.' This new event joins a growing roster of regional ROSCons across Europe, including events in France and Germany, highlighting the platform's expanding adoption and the importance of localized, in-person collaboration for developers, researchers, and companies working with ROS.
