ROS Meetup Medellín - 29-30 Abril 2026

The ROS Spanish Users Group has officially announced the ROS Meetup Medellín 2026, a key community event scheduled for April 29-30, 2026. Organized by community leader Miguelgonrod, the two-day gathering is designed to bring together Colombia's robotics, ROS (Robot Operating System), and autonomous systems communities. The event will leverage Medellín's recognized innovation ecosystem, hosting a poster session at Universidad EIA on the first day and a series of talks at Parque Explora on the second. The primary goal is to strengthen connections between academic research, industrial applications, and the open-source developer base focused on ROS2 and related technologies.

The meetup has opened its call for speakers and posters, actively soliciting participation from developers, researchers, and professionals working on ROS-based projects, robotics research, AI solutions, and autonomous systems. Registration for general attendees is also live. This event represents a continued effort to grow the ROS community in Latin America, following previous meetups in Bogotá and Cali. By providing a dedicated platform for knowledge sharing and networking, the meetup aims to accelerate local development and adoption of advanced robotics frameworks, fostering collaboration that could lead to novel applications in a region with a rapidly expanding tech sector.
