RobotCAD 10.8.1, released on April 29, 2026, brings significant upgrades to this ROS-integrated CAD tool for robot design. The standout feature is the new AI tool, "Generate primitive robot by text," which creates robot models from primitives based on user descriptions, supporting multiple LLM providers. This allows engineers to rapidly prototype robot concepts without manual modeling.
Other improvements include a reforged Explode View tool that now supports robot link position states with memory and an explode offset slider, enhancing visualization of complex assemblies.
