Researchers have developed an LLM-driven framework that critiques and improves the quality of scientific peer reviews. The system breaks down reviews into segments, identifies multiple issues like vagueness and lack of specificity using a neurosymbolic module, and generates targeted feedback. Experiments show it outperforms standard LLM methods and improves review quality by up to 92.4%. The team also released a new dataset, LazyReviewPlus, with 1,309 labeled sentences.
