PyTorch Foundation Launches Flare Pin Design Contest for 2026 Conference

The PyTorch Foundation has opened a community design contest for the official 2026 flare pin, to be distributed at PyTorch Conference North America in San Jose this October. The winning designer will receive one complimentary ticket to the conference (travel and lodging not included). Designs must be original, suitable for a 1-inch die-cut soft enamel pin, and must include the year '26' or '2026' along with the official PyTorch Foundation symbol. Entrants must follow PyTorch brand guidelines and use only official assets; modifications or distortions are prohibited. Submissions are due by August 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT, and can be made by posting a clear image of the design on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, or Bluesky with the hashtags #PyTorchPin and #PyTorchCon.

The selection process is handled by the PyTorch Foundation Marketing Committee, which evaluates entries on originality, legibility at 1 inch, brand compliance, and production suitability. The winner will be contacted on August 19, 2026, and must provide final artwork by August 24. Notably, AI-assisted and AI-generated designs are permitted, but entrants must ensure all elements comply with copyright and trademark rules. Entrants retain ownership of their artwork but grant PyTorch Foundation a license to reproduce and promote submissions. The contest is open to individuals 18+ (no joint entries), and those unable to use social media may email submissions to marketing@pytorch.org. The ticket prize cannot be sold or transferred, and attendees may separately apply for the Linux Foundation Travel Fund for travel expenses.
