Neat's new AI agents and intelligent framing turn meeting rooms into 'thinking spaces'

At InfoComm 2026, Neat announced a suite of updates that collectively redefine meeting rooms as agentic, intelligent spaces rather than passive video endpoints. The centerpiece is Neat Pulse MCP, a Model Context Protocol implementation that exposes device management, sensor data, room utilization, user presence, and location information as tools that AI agents can query and act on in real time. This allows IT teams to automate room optimization, respond to alerts, and orchestrate workflows across Neat’s portfolio without custom integrations. On the experience side, Neat introduced Intelligent Framing for larger rooms, combining multi-camera setups (e.g., Neat Bar Pro with one or two Neat Centers) with real-time AI to track active and previous speakers, stitching the best view for remote participants. The aim is to eliminate static wide shots and jarring cuts, making remote attendees feel equally present.

Neat also made its latest hardware generally available: the Neat Board 32, a 32-inch all-in-one collaboration touchscreen for small rooms and personal spaces, and the Neat Pad Pro, a 10-inch room controller/scheduler with upgraded compute and audio. Additionally, Neat Open extends the portfolio to BYOD-friendly, app-centric experiences that keep rooms useful between scheduled calls while still managed through Neat Pulse. For IT teams, the bigger story is the shift from smart devices to connected, optimizable systems that provide real-time data on room usage—addressing the dual pressures of hybrid work: reducing AV friction and justifying real estate spend. Neat’s approach targets three outcomes: equal participation for remote and in-room participants, reduced operational drag on IT, and turning device fleets into observable, optimizable assets.
