Cloud Robotics WG to publish logging & observability guide
Join the June 15 meeting to shape best practices for ROS in the cloud.
The Cloud Robotics Working Group (WG) of ROS-Industrial is hosting its next meeting on June 15, 2026, from 16:00 to 17:00 UTC. The primary agenda is the final discussion and review of a Logging and Observability Guide, which the group has been researching for several months. The guide will compile best practices and tips for ROS developers working with cloud infrastructure. Previous guest speakers, including Benji Barash of Roboto AI, have contributed insights, and the group plans to invite them for a final review before publishing.
In addition to the guide, the WG has released the State of Cloud Robotics Survey 2026. All developers using cloud technologies in robotics are encouraged to respond. Once sufficient submissions are collected, the group will analyze and discuss the results in a future session. The meeting link, calendar subscription, and YouTube recording of the previous session are available on the Cloud Robotics Hub. Developers interested in shaping industry standards for cloud robotics observability are welcome to attend.
- Meeting on June 15, 2026 to finalize a logging and observability guide for ROS cloud robotics.
- State of Cloud Robotics Survey 2026 is open for all cloud-using developers.
- Previous guest speaker Benji Barash of Roboto AI contributed to the guide's development.
Why It Matters
Standardized logging and observability will improve debugging and reliability for ROS-based cloud robotics deployments.
