Sharing that data lets other researchers build and check similar tools instead of each hospital starting from zero.

Realistically, this is research, not a product in your dentist's office. It needs testing on far more kids, from more places and backgrounds, before it can influence real treatment decisions. But the direction is clear: tedious, expert-only image reading is exactly the kind of task AI is getting good at, and pediatric dentistry is one of many fields where that means faster answers and fewer repeat X-rays.
