Researchers led by Kaiqu Liang introduce the PAHF framework for creating personalized AI agents. PAHF uses explicit per-user memory and a three-step loop: seeking clarification, grounding actions in retrieved preferences, and integrating feedback. Tested on embodied manipulation and online shopping benchmarks, it learns initial preferences from scratch and adapts to persona shifts, outperforming no-memory baselines by reducing personalization error and enabling rapid adaptation.
