PyTorch Foundation expands Ambassador Program, seeks global community leaders

Apply to represent PyTorch in your region with training, funding, and conference access.

Deep Dive

The PyTorch Foundation has opened applications for its Ambassador Program, a global initiative that recognizes and supports independent community leaders passionate about building, educating, and advocating for PyTorch. Launched a little over a year ago, the program now seeks to expand its regional representation—especially in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Oceania, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. Ambassadors serve a two-year term and are expected to contribute in at least one focus area: organizing virtual or in-person events, creating technical tutorials/blog posts/videos, mentoring new users, or representing PyTorch at conferences and academic institutions.

Ambassadors receive official designation and a featured profile on the PyTorch Foundation website, promotion through social media, private collaboration channels with fellow ambassadors and staff, event planning toolkits, reimbursement for approved community activities and travel, complimentary admission to the PyTorch Conference, branded materials, and professional development opportunities including speaking engagements and networking with machine learning leaders globally. Eligibility requires being at least 18 years old, following the Code of Conduct, demonstrating technical knowledge via contributions or published content, and committing to the two-year term. Applications (self-nominations or third-party) are open through June 18, 2026, with selected ambassadors notified in September and announced in October 2026.
