Intent-Driven Smart Manufacturing Integrating Knowledge Graphs and Large Language Models

Researchers have developed a new AI framework that integrates fine-tuned Mistral-7B LLMs with Knowledge Graphs to translate natural language commands into executable actions for smart manufacturing. The system achieved a 97.27% overall accuracy and 89.33% exact match rate, significantly outperforming standard zero-shot and few-shot baselines. This intent-driven approach, grounded in the ISA-95 standard, aims to create scalable and explainable human-machine interfaces for complex Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) environments.
