Ugreen's solar-powered Finder Pro lasts 2 years and beats AirTag range

Ugreen, known for chargers and power accessories, has released the Finder Pro, a solar-powered Bluetooth tracker that works exclusively with Apple's Find My ecosystem. Unlike standard AirTags that rely on replaceable coin cells, the Finder Pro has an integrated solar panel on one side that continuously tops up the internal battery. In testing, it achieved a real-world Bluetooth range of 85 to 100 feet (25-30 meters), which is at the upper end of what BLE tags can realistically deliver in obstructed conditions. The tag also carries an IP68 rating, meaning it shrugs off rain, dirt, and even full submersion, making it a strong option for outdoor use.

At $17.99 on Amazon, the Finder Pro is cheaper than an AirTag and eliminates battery swaps for up to two years. The main caveats: it's not compatible with Android, the included holder relies on adhesive to stay put, and the spring clip should be swapped for a split ring for better durability. Still, it's the only solar-powered tag reviewers have found, and for Apple users who lose things in the outdoors or in transit, the combination of solar charging, long range, and ruggedness makes it a compelling AirTag alternative that never needs a charging cable.
