Google's AI shuffle: Hassabis steps down, Dean departs for Discovery Loop

Google is reorganizing its AI command structure at a critical moment. Demis Hassabis, co-founder of DeepMind, is stepping away from day-to-day leadership to become Alphabet's chief scientist and DeepMind chair, focusing on long-term research and AGI strategy.
