Google is giving eligible US college students a full year of AI Pro for free. Normally this subscription costs $19.99 per month, or about $240 a year. Students get much more than a chatbot: four times the usual Gemini limits, Gemini Spark, AI features inside Gmail and Docs, 5TB of cloud storage, and Google Health Premium. That storage alone is useful for backing up videos, presentations, and coursework.

The study tools are the real draw. Students can upload lecture notes to Study Notebooks, take a diagnostic quiz to find weak spots, and get personalized lessons and quizzes. Gemini can also read a syllabus and add exam dates to Google Calendar automatically. For big research projects, Deep Research in Gemini Live can build a multi-step report students can discuss and ask follow-up questions about. There are even interactive visuals, like a rotatable 3D DNA model or a pendulum showing energy transfer.

The deal is available through December 31, 2026, to eligible US college students. To claim it, you'll need a payment method on file.
