Fully 3D-Printable, Industrial-Grade Autonomous Tank Platform
A fully 3D-printable, industrial-grade autonomous robot is now open for anyone to build.
No Quarter Robotics has unveiled 'Iron Maiden,' a fully 3D-printable, industrial-grade autonomous tank platform designed to bridge the gap between education and real-world deployment. The tracked robot features modular payload bays for LiDAR and cameras, runs on a custom Raspberry Pi-based Linux OS called JollyOS, and operates with a Python-first autonomy stack. The project aims to create a repeatable, field-serviceable platform that students can print, researchers can modify, and practitioners can deploy.
Why It Matters
This dramatically lowers the barrier to entry for serious robotics, potentially disrupting a market dominated by expensive, closed platforms.
