FLUX.2 Klein Identity Feature Transfer Advanced

New node lets you isolate identity transfer with per-band strength and spatial masks

Deep Dive

FLUX.2 Klein Identity Feature Transfer Advanced is a new node for ComfyUI that extends the original identity transfer tool with granular control and an optional subject mask. It allows users to steer identity features per-band using parameters like double_strength (0.15 to 0.6) for early block intensity (pose, color, identity), single_strength for later blocks (style, texture), and a block_schedule (flat, ramp_down, ramp_up, peak_mid) to control which blocks are active. The sim_floor parameter sets a cosine similarity threshold: low values (0.05) give a wide pull and tight identity lock, while high values (0.4–0.6) allow the model more freedom. The headline upgrade is the optional subject_mask, which restricts identity pull to only the painted area of the reference, preventing background or unwanted subjects from bleeding into the generation. The mask does not modify the reference latent, so the model retains full scene context and attention freedom. Combined with sim_floor, users can dial from full identity lock to loose, creative edits.

Key Points
  • Adds optional subject_mask to restrict identity pull to painted areas, preventing background bleed
  • Per-band strength controls (double_strength 0.15–0.6, single_strength) and block_schedule for precise feature steering
  • sim_floor threshold (0.05–0.6) lets users toggle between tight identity lock and creative freedom

Why It Matters

Gives creators surgical control over AI identity transfer, enabling cleaner character edits and multi-subject isolation.
