Dynamic Passivity Multipliers for Plug-and-Play Stability Certificates of Converter-Dominated Grids

Researchers have developed a new 'plug-and-play' AI certification method that guarantees stability in power grids dominated by renewable energy converters. The system uses dynamic passivity multipliers to verify stability locally while holding globally, without requiring controller modifications. This solves the critical challenge of uncertain parameters and computationally intractable topology checks, substantially enlarging the certified stability region for practical grid-forming inverters using P-Q droop control.
