A new AI-powered study analyzing 2,038 Venezuela-related Telegram posts from nine major global news outlets (2017-2026) found no evidence of coordinated, near-duplicate content sharing, even during the peak political turbulence of January 2026. Using temporal co-posting windows and character n-gram TF-IDF similarity analysis, researchers detected no cross-channel coordination at a high similarity threshold (τ=0.85). The findings challenge assumptions of homogeneous media narratives, showing instead heterogeneous editorial responses and framing during major geopolitical shocks.
