Convexus launches AI platform to turn group discussions into actionable decisions

Convexus, a new AI-powered civic tech platform co-founded by Bainbridge Island mother-daughter duo Merrill and Doña Keating, aims to revolutionize how organizations make collective decisions. The platform uses an explore-align-act framework to guide participants from discussion to documented outcomes, addressing the common problem of fragmented conversations and analysis paralysis. Doña Keating, with 30 years of strategic consulting experience, and Merrill Keating, a 2025 UW engineering graduate and USA Today's Washington State Woman of the Year, self-funded the initiative. Convexus targets local governments, nonprofit organizations, and civic groups, offering a structured approach to collaborative decision-making.

The platform is currently operational with a select group of pilot partners, allowing the founders to stress-test the product and gather feedback before scaling. Unlike generic collaboration tools, Convexus specializes in turning dialogue into actionable implementation plans. The Keatings emphasize that the tool is designed for any group needing to move from idea to action collectively. While currently self-funded, the founders are exploring venture capital investment to support future growth and scalability.
