CLASE: A Hybrid Method for Chinese Legalese Stylistic Evaluation

Researchers have introduced CLASE, a hybrid AI method that evaluates the stylistic quality of Chinese legal text generated by LLMs. It combines linguistic feature analysis with an 'experience-guided' LLM judge, trained on 200 authentic legal documents and their AI-restored versions. CLASE substantially outperforms traditional metrics and pure LLM judges in aligning with human evaluations, providing a transparent, reference-free, and scalable solution for professional legal writing assessment.
