Baidu Releases GenFlow 4.0 with Upgraded Cloud Storage and Office Agents

Baidu has released GenFlow 4.0, an upgraded version of its AI agent system now deeply integrated into Baidu Netdisk, the company's cloud storage platform with over 100 million monthly active users since its April 2025 launch. This iteration introduces cross-device task execution, allowing agents to initiate a workflow on a smartphone and complete it on a desktop, and coordinated workflows across Office applications such as document editing, spreadsheet analysis, and presentation creation. The integration means users can prompt an agent to, for example, extract data from a cloud-stored PDF, populate a spreadsheet, and generate a summary report—all without manual file transfers.

GenFlow 4.0 represents Baidu's push to embed agentic AI directly into everyday productivity tools rather than offering it as a standalone service. By connecting the agent system to Baidu Netdisk's file management and Office suite compatibility, the company aims to reduce friction for the millions of users who already rely on its cloud storage.
