The change makes the program handle its startup settings more carefully and delays printing its "initialization..." message until those settings are actually read, so the messages you see at launch are more trustworthy.

So why should a normal person care about a behind-the-scenes tweak? Because llama.cpp is one of the most popular ways to run AI chatbots on hardware you already own.
