The migration follows a two-step, chat-based process: first, an Analyzer agent connects to your existing BI environment, extracts metadata, and generates a compatibility report; second, a Converter agent rebuilds datasets, calculated fields, visualizations, filters, and parameters in QuickSight. This preserves the hard-won domain knowledge encoded in your dashboards.
The entire process runs within your own AWS account, ensuring no data leaves your environment and removing security and procurement friction. AWS Transform uses Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore for AI-driven automation while handling credential management via IAM. The move to QuickSight unlocks serverless infrastructure, native AI-powered natural language querying, and the SPICE in-memory engine for sub-second performance.
