AWS AI League: Atos fine-tunes approach to AI education

Atos, a global IT services leader, has partnered with AWS to tackle the challenge of scalable AI workforce upskilling through the AWS AI League. This gamified, experiential learning program moves beyond traditional online courses and certifications by immersing over 400 participants in hands-on competitions. Using Amazon SageMaker and SageMaker JumpStart, employees gain practical experience in fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) for specific business domains, such as insurance underwriting, where accuracy and domain knowledge are critical.

The program's three-stage structure begins with an immersive workshop on fine-tuning fundamentals, followed by a competitive phase where teams apply these skills to real-world challenges. This approach abstracts away deep infrastructure complexity, allowing solutions architects, developers, and business analysts to build production-oriented AI skills without needing deep machine learning specialization. The initiative supports Atos's ambitious goal of creating a 100% AI-fluent workforce by 2026, building on an existing foundation of over 5,800 AWS Certifications.
