Anthropic's New AI Agent Manages Your Day Like a Pro

Anthropic just announced Claude Duet, a new AI agent designed to act like a personal assistant for professionals and small business owners. It's available as a standalone app on iOS and Android, and through Claude on the web. Think of it as a smart helper that connects to your apps and does tasks for you.

Each morning, Claude Duet sends you a short brief on the most important items across your connected apps. Throughout the day, it keeps an eye on things and messages you only when something needs your attention. You can give it tasks like scheduling meetings, building dashboards with dozens of tools, creating financial or sales forecasts, prototyping, and even building web apps. It has memory, skills, and a virtual machine with a browser to get work done.

Before any big step, like sending a payment or deleting something, Claude Duet asks for your approval. It also has a new safety system to reject requests to share sensitive info like credit card numbers. However, Anthropic admits it's an early version and might misread a thread or miscalibrate what's urgent. It's also not as good at personal errands like booking tickets.

To try it, you need to join the waitlist and be a Pro or Max subscriber in the US. This is Anthropic's answer to similar agents from Meta and OpenAI. If it works well, it could save you time and help you focus on what matters.
