Anthropic's Claude Now Makes Your Slides and Docs in One App

Anthropic just simplified Claude, its AI assistant, by folding several separate features into one window. Before, users had to pick between tabs — chat, Cowork (Claude's tool for doing multi-step work), and Artifacts (a shared workspace where you and the AI build things together). People kept choosing wrong, the company said, so now Claude decides for you. You type your request, and it automatically sends it to the right part of the app. The design tool Claude Design, launched in April for websites and mockups, now works anywhere inside Claude too.

The bigger news is what you can actually make. Claude can now build, edit, and present slide decks, then export them as PowerPoint files or PDFs — the formats your boss and clients already use. A new Docs feature lets you write alongside the AI: it drafts sections, you ask questions, and you leave comments on finished parts. Finished documents and slides can be shared with a simple link, and you can tweak them from your phone. You can even start a document on your laptop, walk away, and check on its progress from the mobile app.

There's a useful detail underneath all this: Anthropic recently upgraded Cowork's memory, so Claude remembers context from earlier conversations. Practically, that means less re-explaining yourself — the AI picks up where you left off rather than starting cold every time.

THE CATCH: These features are rolling out first to paid Pro and Max subscribers on web, desktop, and mobile over the coming weeks. Free and team-plan users will have to wait. And as with any AI-generated document or slide deck, you'll still want to read it before hitting send — the polish can hide mistakes.
