Anthropic launches Claude for Small Business with 15 agentic workflows

On May 13, Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business, a suite of agentic integrations that connects popular business platforms—QuickBooks, Canva, PayPal, HubSpot, and Google Workspace—directly to its Claude AI model. The package includes 15 pre-built workflows spanning finance, operations, sales, marketing, and customer service. These workflows are designed to streamline repetitive tasks for lean teams without fully automating them, giving small business owners practical AI tools without the need for technical expertise. The launch addresses a growing demand: small business formation surged 10% in 2025 in the design and make economy, per Autodesk's recent report.

The same month, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its Foundation launched Small Business B(AI)sics, a free national AI training program backed by a $5 million grant from Google.org. The program offers courses tailored to entrepreneurs, covering AI fundamentals for retail shops, restaurants, and service providers. Shanique Streete, Executive Director of Resilient Communities at the Chamber Foundation, emphasized that the courses start with the basics, unlike existing tech-company trainings. Together, Anthropic's tool suite and the Chamber's training aim to close the adoption gap highlighted by early adopters like coffee shop owner Hrag Kalebjian, who uses Claude to automate a weekly newsletter and even optimize coffee grinding—showing what's possible when AI barriers are lowered.
