CircleStone Labs, in collaboration with Comfy Org, has released Anima, a compact 2B-parameter open-source model designed for generating high-quality anime images. Despite its small size, Anima delivers impressive prompt adherence and creative output, rivaling much larger models thanks to its Qwen3 0.6B CLIP/text encoder. The official turbo LoRA and RL LoRA further enhance stability and generation speed, making it practical for real-time workflows. Currently at preview 3, each version has shown significant improvements, with the developers actively incorporating community feedback via HuggingFace discussions.

Anima's active community on HuggingFace and CivitAI is already producing custom checkpoints and LoRAs, expanding its versatility. The model's open-source nature allows developers to fine-tune it for specific anime styles or integrate it into larger pipelines.
