Alibaba's Qwen3.7-Max and custom chips fuel 'AI factory' strategy

Alibaba Group has officially launched its ambitious "AI factory" strategy, introducing three core products: the Qwen3.7-Max large language model, the Zhenwu M890 AI accelerator, and the Panjiu AL128 rack-scale server. This full-stack approach covers the entire AI pipeline, from custom silicon to model deployment and agentic applications. The Qwen3.7-Max is designed to handle complex reasoning and enterprise tasks, competing with top-tier LLMs. The Zhenwu M890 chip is Alibaba's answer to the global chip shortage and trade restrictions, offering a domestically produced accelerator for AI workloads.
